Role of religion in the expression of sexuality

Abstract

This article was originally developed todiscuss the role of religion in the expressionof sexuality. However, through the literaturereview, it became evident that religion andsexuality do not exist in a vacuum. Onecannot ignore inter-sectionality in thediscussion of the influence of religion onsexuality. Therefore, this article will attemptto provide a global or meta-perspective onthe multiple types of intersections that oneneeds to consider when discussing therelationship between religion and sexuality. Itis the intention of the article to expand orbroaden the lens that we use to discuss thistopic. An additional aim of this article is tohighlight global perspectives on religion andsexuality.
