Abstract

The concept of love and romance has intrigued humansociety from a long time. The multi-faceted word romanceis popularly known as love between people who tend to betogether with intentions of intimacy. Therefore, therelationships have always been a complex area to study, andthere are certain important concepts in the dynamics ofromantic relationships. Coercion, sexual esteem areimportant areas among these, as they impact the mentalprocesses profoundly. In this article, we have discussedabout sexual coercion and consent, its effects on sexualesteem, the areas where the capacity to consent andcoercion may happen and explored the cross-culturaldynamics of relationships within the romanticrelationships.
