Health Needs of Homosexuals

Abstract

Health issues and services for homosexuals is an unmet need.There are specific health issues which are of concern in this population.Various factors contribute to this unmet need. This review aims atidentifying some specific health issues including mental health issues inhomosexual population. It also tries to identify some barriers in effectiveservice delivery to homosexuals. Some recommendations are also given toaddress this unmet need. Better understanding of healthcare issues ofhomosexual population among healthcare providers is of utmostimportance.
