Abstract
Sexuality during adolescence is as rightlydescribed as “A bumpy ride”(Kar et al., 2015).It is a period of rapid development with lots ofturmoil, a period of exploration andconfusion. The current adolescent generation‘alpha’ (2010- current) are not only part of thetraditional struggles of adolescence but alsoface the challenges of the rapidly changingworld and ever-expanding dimension of thevirtual world, making them vulnerable in novelways. Therefore, this issue was brought out todiscuss relevant topics on adolescent sexuality.The first feelings of desire and companionshipstart during this stage, retrospectively reportedas “this was the time I first had a crush”(Fortenberry, 2013). The adolescents gothrough physical changes and start attainingadult-like stature. They also go throughchanges at cognitive, psychosexual, andpsychosocial levels. The expectations fromself, society,
