Male sexual dysfunctions: A clinical review

Abstract
Sexuality and sexual dysfunction have been described in variousworld literature since ancient times. With time advances, scienceand socio-cultural changes have evolved our understanding ofsexuality and sexual disorders. Male sexual dysfunction is morecommonly reported than female sexual dysfunction because ofshyness, socio-cultural practices, and various associated stigmawith sexual disorders. Male sexual disorders are a group ofheterogeneous disorders involving multiple systems. Male sexualdisorders have psychogenic as well as biogenic in origin.Commonly reported male sexual disorders are erectiledysfunctions, premature ejaculations, Dhat syndrome, anddelayed ejaculations. The review focuses on highlighting theburden of illness and enhancing the understanding and approachto male sexual disorders. The review also highlights the availabletreatment options and appropriate referral services to addressthe problems adequately.
