Mental health concerns of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract
This critical literature review discusses the prevalence ofmental health concerns in healthcare workers (HCWs)during the COVID-19 pandemic. It highlights theassociated reasons and underlying risk factors studied inthis context, along with the psychological interventionscurrently being used to help this population. This paperattempts to describe the experience of moral injury inHCWs and offers recommendations for mental healthprofessionals. It also critically evaluates the existingliterature for its strengths and limitations. Finally, therecommendations are provided based on the shortcomingof the literature and directions for future research.
